Most prevalent diseases in students of the Faculty of Health, between the years 2018-2021

A study of the most common diseases among the students of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the institution was carried out to determine the prevalence of the most frequent diseases, to determine the proportion of diseases in males and females, and to calculate the rate of those that affect the different systems. In a total of 2 585 data analyzed using a quantitative approach and a retrospective observational design, it was found that Nutrition, Nursing, Physical therapy, and Occupational therapy programs were the most affected; the female gender stood out with the highest number of consultations. In addition, in 2020 there was an increase in diseases of the integumentary system and a decrease in diseases of the cardiopulmonary system. Thus, the Nursing program has the highest number of consultations in all the mentioned diseases.
