Care and preservation of life in the personnel of soldiers
Abstract
The aim of this article is to raise awareness of the topic of life skills as a tool to mitigate risk factors in suicidal behavior, in this way to care for and preserve life. The present study is framed in the qualitative paradigm, and with a historical-hermeneutic approach, which was carried out through a non-probabilistic sampling of an intentional type; for the development of the same one it was counted on the participation of the personnel of soldiers who render military service in first and second phase, of the 1/18 contingent, instructed in the No.23 Biter of the city of San Juan de Pasto. In contrast to what has been mentioned, life skills strengthen relational bonds, actions of self-care and mutual care, functioning as a protective factor against suicide, since it entails the soldier to strengthen his resources.
