Focus and Scope
Revista UNIMAR is an open-access scientific journal in the field of Social Sciences and the area of Education, with an emphasis on pedagogy. It publishes original research, reflection, and review articles in any of the following languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese, and is addressed to the scientific community in these areas. It is edited by Editorial Unimar of Universidad Mariana (Colombia).
As of 2026, the journal adopts a continuous publication model with the purpose of optimizing the timelines for the visibility, circulation, and use of scientific knowledge; that is, articles are published individually once they have successfully completed the different stages of the editorial process and peer review. Nevertheless, two semiannual cut-off periods will be maintained for editorial closure, organization, and the formal compilation of the journal issues.
Revista UNIMAR does not apply article processing charges (APCs) nor fees for manuscript submission, evaluation, editing, or publication. All costs associated with the editorial process are fully assumed by the publishing entity, in accordance with the principles of open access, editorial ethics, transparency, and international best practices in scholarly communication.
